Genuine, respectful relationships with the children and their whanau are at the heart of who we are. Without these connections, effective care and education cannot exist. These connections form the most important aspect of our mahi, which supports our tamariki and their mauri to engage, ready for learning.

Te Ao Māori is the essence of Bizzy Bodz Gisborne. A bicultural curriculum is delivered in a safe and caring environment for our tamariki and whanau by integrating the values of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the principles and learning outcomes of Te Whariki – Early Childhood Curriculum.

Bizzy Bodz Gisborne Kaiako teach and role-model manaakitanga showing respect, generosity and care for others. Manaakitanga accentuates our learning values of Aroha, Rangatiratanga and Ako. These values inform how we collaborate to support the tamariki and whanau that make up our community.

  • Aroha – Tamariki will find a balance between love for:

            * Whakapapa - who they are and where they are from

            * Others – who they are and where they are from

            * Our world – Community and environment

  • Rangatiratanga – Tamariki will be supported and nurtured in leadership where they can recognize they are capable role models, as they discover their strengths and abilities and learn to confidently share them with their peers.

  • Ako – Tamariki will grasp the value of education and what is important to them. They will encourage others to learn and learn from others in a tuakana-teina role.

Our tamariki will graduate/leave Bizzy Bodz Gisborne with a strong & secure foundation for their lifelong learning journey.
