Our Philosophy

Ko te ahurei o te tamaiti arahia o tatou mahi
Let the uniqueness of the child guide our work

Welcome to Bizzy Bodz Early Learning Centre Huntly

We are passionate about providing an environment where the tamariki are at the heart of everything we do.

We have an open-door policy that welcomes whānau at any time of the day as they feel comfortable.  We engage in shared decision making with our whānau and where possible incorporate their ideas, so the service becomes an extension of their family. Through embedding Manākitanga and whanaungatanga in all that we do, we promote a culture of kindness, inclusiveness, respect, and integrity. We have a warm welcoming environment with a very strong sense of community.

At Bizzy Bodz we know that with the freedom to explore as nature intended, tamariki can play, discover, and develop resilience and confidence. We encourage tamariki to try new things, be curious, explore and persevere when faced with challenges.

We engage tamariki in opportunities involving “risky play” which allows them to challenge themselves, follow their gut instincts and become good decision makers in the future.  By providing real life experiences, authentic relationships, and inspiring provocations, we are working in partnership with you to ensure your child has the best start to life.

We acknowledge children’s emotions and support them to work through these feelings in an authentic way.  We see conflict as an opportunity for learning and we support tamariki to develop the communication skills needed to resolve conflict in an appropriate way.

We are committed and passionate about providing high quality care and education, where each child has a strong sense of belonging and knows they have a place here and in the world.  We achieve this by acknowledging and strengthening their unique cultures in a safe and happy environment.

If Kindness is sown, then kindness you shall receive

Funding
Our Early Learning Centre receives funding by the Ministry of Education. This is why each month you may receive a Frequent Absence Form or when you change your booking you have to sign a form.

All paperwork provided by the centre around your tamariki enrolment and hours is a confirmation between parent/whanau and the centre that the information we are providing to the Ministry is correct and what you have requested.

If you would like information on our funding please feel free to ask our centre and we will be happy to help you.

Policies & Procedures
